Lightroom: Cannot import photos in Lightroom library "An internal error occurred. Attempted to close a session with a pending transection"

Hello I have a strange bug in my lightroom library: I suffer from the adobe lightroom 3.3 folders bug. I have two directories in the left pane: Users/Micha and Users/micha. When I try to rename one of them and then click "merge" I get the error message: " An internal error occurred. Attempted to close a session with a pending transection"
Rebooting doesn't help!

Could you please provide assistance!

There is a diagnostic method by which I might be able to diagnose the problem you're seeing and help find a workaround (and maybe get a fix into a dot release if it isn't too risky to fix).

1. In Finder, navigate to the Utilities subfolder of the Applications folder (Command + Shift + U).
2. Double Click
3. Paste the following text: '/Applications/Adobe Lightroom Lightroom 3' -tracebacks
(Note that this may be different for some versions of LR, like RC/Beta releases, etc. Also, make sure you get the whole text including the apostrophes around the path.)
4. Press enter to start.
5. Repeat the steps in Lightroom that cause the error message or hang that you are seeing.
6. Use the Shell -> Export Text As... menu item (Command + S) to save the output to a file (or select it for copy and paste).

Note that the output this produces requires the exact build number of LR that emitted it to be translated into a stack trace with source file names and line numbers.

You can send me the log file directly if you prefer (it might be long enough that posting it wouldn't work well). My e-mail handle is dtull.
