Lightroom: Cannot import MPEG or m2t files

I was hoping that 4.3 would resolve the issue of importing media. I have not been able to import MPEG or m2t files, even though those files are supposedly supported. When trying to import these files, I get the message "There is a problem with the video file." It seems like many other users have reported the same problem.

Chris, If the video is mpeg2 format, Lightroom will not support it, for licensing reasons. I know at least some Canon camcorders shoot mpeg2 video. You would need to check the documentation for your specific camera to see which video format the camera shoots. Note that some video files that are mpeg2 format may still have a file extension of .mpeg.
