Cannot email photos in lightroom5

I have recently purchased lightroom 5 and updated to 5.2. I am encountering a problem emailing photos. Have a provider not listed in drop down but consulted with them about completing account manager. Validation not happening. Have tried on two different computers, one with windows 7 and one with windows 8. Even turned off Norton but to no avail. Any suggestions.....puzzled!

Hi Jim,

What happens when you try to validate? Does Lightroom stall? Do you get any validation error notification?

Which email provider are you using? That information will help us investigate.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast! Still continuing to have the problem.
1. When I try to validate I get the following message; "Validation cannot establish a secure channel with outgoing email server mail.shaw.ca
2. I can close messages and still work with lightroom
3. My email provider is shaw.ca (mail.shaw.ca)
Shaw did check that I could access my email (username and password) and all worked well. Hope you have some ideas to remedy this problem! Thanks
