Lightroom mobile: Cannot stop Lightroom CC from importing iPhone pictures

This week LR CC started importing newly taken pictures from Apple Photos.  I would take a photo using the Apple Camera App, the photos would go into Apple Photos then LR CC would import the photos.
I have "Auto Add Photos" turned off. (see attached)
This morning I killed LR CC on my iPhone and I turned off and restarted LR CC on my MacBook Pro.  After restarting both apps, LR CC had imported 486 photos from Apple Photos.  The newly imported photos dated back to September 7,  2017.
Any help would be appreciated

Review the Albums on your device.

Does one of them have the Auto Import turned on?  This is independant of the Auto Add Photos  you are showing in your screenshot.

Rikk, I've been trying to help Monty over at the U2U, and suggested he posted here. It may be that something's changed recently, as it used to be that you couldn't enable an album for auto adding UNTIL the global setting to Auto Add Photos/Videos was also turned on (in fact, IIRC, you'd get a message to that effect if you tried to enable an Album).

So has something changed?

Not necessarily. Right now, I am trying to diagnose if something is stuck.

Nothing has changed as far as I know.

Answering my own question, yes the behaviour has slightly changed...but not in any substantial way in respect of this problem.

Yes, with "Auto Add Photos" disabled, it is now possible to select an album and "Enable Auto Add". When you do that, it will in fact toggle the global setting ON (which makes sense). But if you then toggle that setting back OFF again, it will silently disable the auto import for that album. In other words, it doesn't seem possible to have an album set to auto import if the global setting is OFF.

So, provided that Monty hasn't tried to enable an album for auto import after first disabling the global setting, it shouldn't be possible to have Camera Roll images auto-added to Lightroom. That would be my understanding. Hoping for some clarification.

That makes sense, Jim. Could it be some process is stuck in the iPhone itself?

Hey Monty, maybe a hard reset of the phone would clear it up.

Idk... just thinking out loud.

Monty,
Hard quit the Lightroom App. Restart your phone. Take a photo with the Photos App.
Launch Lightroom for iOS.  Does the photo get imported into Lightroom?
Now that Lightroom has been opened. Go back to the Photos App and take another picture. Does it get imported?

Did as you suggested.  So far the photos I took after the reboot have not been imported, but LR CC did import 54 photos that were not there before the reboot.
Odd. LR CC reported they were added yesterday.  Please not, these are very old pictures

Maybe I spoke too early.  The importing seems to have stopped.  I'll keep you posted.
Thanks

Hi Monty,
Just to be clear, did you try a hard reset of your phone?

By that I mean hold down the Home button and the Power button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo appear.
