Lightroom CC: Cannot scroll or zoom when in brush mode (macOS)

In Lightroom CC v1.1 on Mac, when I switch to Brush mode, I am unable to to do the following actions:

* Click and hold the image to scroll around
* Use the Space shortcut to toggle zoom

This means that I have to keep switching back to Edit mode to change the part of the image I'm working on in Brush mode. I can use the shortcuts but slows me down and is a basically a poor user experience.

Hmm. I'm not able to reproduce this. It works the same as Lightroom classic for me on macOS. Click with space bar zooms between fit and 1:1. Holding the space bar and click and drag lets me scroll around the image.

@Jeffery: Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't realise that I had to hold the space bar and then click into the image to zoom in and scroll around.

This behaviour is different to what happens in the Edit mode where tapping the space does toggle between Fit and 1:1.

Unfortunately, in the Brush mode if the image is at Fit I can't get to and stay at 1:1 with the space bar shortcut.

That said, what you've shown me does save me from toggling between Edit and Brush modes which is welcome.

I tripped over this one before too. In brush mode, you have to hold spacebar and click to zoom in/out, whereas without brush activated, you just press Space. That difference does feel odd.

Classic does behave the same with the spacebar, but you have the option of using the Z key instead.

@Victoria: Yeah - it is quite confusing. I haven’t used Classic (have moved from Capture One) so I don’t have that as a reference which is probably a good thing in this case. Am looking forward to your book - there’s probably a lot more nuances that I’ve not yet picked up!

Aaaaaw, thanks guys. Classic one is off to the printers in the morning, and due for release in PDF this week coming. Then I can get back to finishing the CC one, so aiming for a Feb release on that.
