Photoshop Mobile: Cannot Paste Masks

There is an option to copy a layer mask, but there is no option to actually paste that mask anywhere. There is a generic paste option, but it pasted the entire layer, not just the mask. I’ve tried going into the mask explicitly, and still no dice. How is this supposed to work? Why would there not just be a paste mask option?

Try this: Double tap on the layer mask you want to copy. Select all, Copy Layer. Next, add a layer mask to the layer you want to copy to, if you haven't, be sure it's visible as a layer (double-tap if necessary), and then choose Paste.

I agree with you that it would be nice if the program somehow knew in a context-sensitive way that you were trying to copy a mask, not a layer, and changed "Copy Layer" to "Copy Mask," but otherwise it's working the same as it does on the desktop—minus the nice ability to target a mask, hold the modifier (and slide to Duplicate), and then drag the mask to the layer you want to copy to.  At least, I can't get that one to work, even though the modifier does say Duplicate when the mask is targeted.

I'll give that a try, thanks! It is all the more confusing because there is a "Copy Mask" option... does that actually do something else?

But this doesn’t work.
Also it’s necessary that I can move a layer mask to another layer or group.
