I just changed computers and reinstalled my files and software. but, I cannot upload my of my image files into photo shop. I also have a problem when I try to attach these images to an email. That cause my email to freeze.

What OS/version? What version of Photoshop?

How did you reinstall your files and software?

When you say 'upload' your images, do you mean open? What error do you get?

windows 8 and photo shop cs 5 cloud. Some images open fine in photoshop. Others try and then nothing happens. I am positive my image files are the issue. I can sometimes get them to work - but not always - by going to properties and changing the security option to 'Everyone' But, even that only sometimes works.

Hi Bruce,

Sounds like a permissions issue. Try creating a new Admin user account and run Photoshop from the new user account to see if the problem goes away: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

I have already done that. besides, that would not explain why my email freezes up when I grab jpgs.

Hi Bruce, when you say you "have already done that" - Do you mean that you went into "properties and changing the security option to 'Everyone'" - or did you add an entirely new Admin user account and run from the new user account?

I just change the security option to everyone. I called my tech support this morning and fixed the photo shop problem. My images now open. I still had crashes with explorer. So, I don't know what to do there. I am now using google chrome and that seems to prevent the crash. but, I have no understanding as to why.

I'd still suspect a damage user account. I would try running from an entirely new Admin user account.
