I cannot register/activate LR 6 on my 2nd computer. I purchased the upgrade from LR5 to LR 6 (NOT CC) from Adobe online, downloaded it to my desktop, and eventually got it to run. I could not get it to go past the splash screen, posted my problem on LR forum and learned I had to install CC App (Even though I do not subscribe to or want CC, and Adobe did not tell me to install this so the Upgrade would work!). I installed CC App and it works fine, says LR 6 as it is supposed to....BUT I cannot get it to work on my second (laptop) computer. I could not find LR6 upgrade on Adobe website (Great service), so I downloaded LR CC trial which worked fine for a month, then got email from Adobe telling time is up. I keep trying to register/ enter my serial number but I cannot make it happen. When I try to log in with Adobe ID, I get a little "circle" of 4 small squares lighting up sequentially, Adobe's equivalent of Microsoft's spinning blue circle I guess, and it just stays like that and never moves on, repeatedly. I decided to try again, and start over, so I removed LR and CC App from programs, re-downloaded LR 6 ("Direct LR6" download from link from Bampton website) and attempted to reinstall. It asks me if I and doing trial or if I bought/own it, I click on own it, it asks me to sign in with Adobe ID, so I enter name (email) and password, hit enter and get eternal spinning circle of little squares again. I cannot get past that. The only way to get rid of that is to End Program in Task Manager.
I cannot believe Adobe has made it so impossible for people to use software they just paid for! Help!?

Got it!

After MUCH experimentation, I went to the Adobe website and, even though I signed out previously, Adobe.com knew who I am. I signed out again, and everything worked.
