Photoshop: Can we have an option not to change the color contrast when we increase or decrease the contrast?

Can we have a check button on tools like Curves, Levels, Brightness/Contrast that disables the change in contrast of the "color" but enables only the change in "lightness or darkness tone" when checked. So that we don't have to deal with the color again after we increase the contrast?

I assume you're referring to Photoshop with this request?

If you want to apply these corrections without altering color, just fade using Luminosity or place them on an adjustment layer with luminosity blending. The sliders gives you more control as often, its desirable and expected to see a saturation bump when altering tone (the tools were coded this way by default for this reason).
