Photoshop: Can I update to Camera Raw 8.4 with Photoshop CS5

I have Photoshop CS5 version 12.0.4 (which I believe is up-to-date) and Bridge CS5 version 4.0.5.11 (also up-to-date, I think). My Camera Raw is version 6.7.0.339, which is the problem. I just got the Fuji X-T1 and apparently need Camera Raw to be at least version 8.4. Is it possible to update my Camera Raw to version 8.4 with CS5? Or do I have to upgrade to CS6? I also have LR 5.5.

And how do I upgrade Camera Raw? I've yet to find that anywhere.

Hi Tim,

I think I see the same thing you see. I tried with RAF files from a different Fuji Camera, but I don't think that makes a difference in this case.

When you click the "Select Folder" the converter shows you a a dialog for, well, selecting folders, and so it only shows folders and not files. If the 2013-02-03 folder really does contain RAFs, then Just click the "Select" button. Then choose your destination folder, any other options, and click "Convert."

When the conversion starts a new window should open listing all the files the converter found in the folder and the conversion status of each one.

In other words, the way to do batch conversions is not so select a batch of individual files, but to select one folder folder containing one or more files. Please let us know if this method works for you. If, after clicking Convert, the RAF files that you know are in the selected folder (ie, you can see then with the file explorer) do not appear the list of files to be converted, let us know.

Thanks for reporting this. I can see how the inability to see the files in the folder can be confusing, as well as possibly making it hard to choose the correct folder.

Thanks,
David
