Is there a way to expand the size of the File Information part of the status bar at the bottom of the document window?

Which application are you using?

In Photoshop and Elements, the status bar area is not expandable.

Sorry, I'm referring to Photoshop CS5. I realize that for most of the status bar choices, one can read the entire text there. But, what is the purpose of the ... ellipsis that shows up at the end of the "Document Dimensions"? Usually that means there is more information there if you expand the window, or something like that. So, I wanted to expand the status bar so I could always see what was missing. Perhaps, nothing is missing and the ... is unnecessary? Can you help me understand this better?
Thank you.

If the document is huge, it's possible that the string is truncated because the numbers are too long for that space. But we can't expand it too much without eating into the bottom scrollbar.
