Here are the details on how to Order an Adobe product platform swap or language swap.

Per the document, platform swaps are limited to the current version for perpetual license products (non-subscription) users.

However, subscription versions/Creative Cloud are cross-language & cross-platform for users who are interested in having access to multiple platforms and languages:

I have transitioned to a Mac from a PC. My Photoshop Elements is now useless. Why can't I use what I purchased on my Mac? From what I understand, there are other Adobe products that can be used in both formats. I would like to install Elements on my Mac and purchase Lightbox to go with it, but no dice. This makes me seriously angry!!

What version of Photoshop Elements do you have? Lightroom is cross platform as is Photoshop Elements (as of Elements 9).

I want to move from a Windows machine to a Mac. How can I get Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom 3.5 from one operating system to the other without buying all new software?

I can't possibly afford it.

Yes, your Elements license is dual platform, you can use one license for Mac and the other for PC. Lightroom also works this way. Additionally, if you have subscribed to the Creative Cloud, all Adobe products can be installed on both a Mac and PC.

I have a PC version of CS4-Extended, and would like to upgrade to a Mac version of CS6 via download. I've been to the upgrade page and the first thing it asks you is what version you currently have. I choose CS4-Extended and then the next field asks what platform. Heres My dilemma:

Does this field want to know which platform the current (un-upgraded) package is? Or is it asking what platform you want the upgrade to be? I don't want to pay the $199 and then have it tell me I can only upgrade to a CS6 PC version.

Also, is the previous version of the software required to be installed (obviously not possible in my case)? Or do you just need the Serial Number? Thanks very much!!

If you are upgrading to the new version, your CS4 serial should work for the "previous version" serial during the install of the Mac upgrade.

My PC has once again crashed and now fully frustrated and I going to buy a Mac. I have purchased CS6 and Lightroom 5 which I used on the PC and both are registered. Can I download the Mac files and re-install the programs using my original serial numbers. If not what can I do other than just buy another PC which I am reluctant to do!!

Lightroom is cross-platform, so it will work with the same serial on a mac.

For CS6, you can order a platform swap fro Win to Mac: http://adobe.ly/PlatformSwap

Hi,

I have a Photoshop CS4 extended student edition and I want to upgrade it to the current version for Mac. I understand from the previous information that I have to buy the upgrade from sales uk but in the webpage just seem to offer me the option to download the Photoshop creative cloud. Can I just just a normal application upgrade of CS6?. I don't want to pay for a membership.
Many thanks

it seem is not possible to upgrade to Photoshop CS6 from previous versions, you have to pay full price. Is that correct?.
Thanks

Can I move my Photoshop CS5 from my Mac to my Windows based computer?.

I have been using Photoshop on my Mac but I am switching to a windows based PC.. I have done a couple of upgrades online.

I know that the license does not allow for use on both Mac and Windows. I don't want to upgrade to CS6 or the Cloud at this time.

here is the answer I got (I wanted to migrate my beloved CS3 from PC to Mac):
Thank you for contacting Adobe.

We understand that, you want to swap the platform from Win to Mac. We are sorry to inform you that, the cross platform swap or language is only available for the customer who has purchased the current version of the software that is Photoshop CS6 Extended. In this case we suggest you to please contact our Sales team to place a order for the current version that is CS 6 for appropriate platform.

Here is the phone support number to contact our Sales team : 800-585-0774.

So, that's that.

Correct. You can only swap a current version. It's not possible to provide support for older versions on current hardware an OSes. Please note that Photoshop CC provides a cross-platform license and is up to date with current hardware and operating systems. This is your cheapest path to the latest version of Photoshop: https://creative.adobe.com/plans/offe...

I am trying to use a program that I purchased for a PC (CS 5,5). I have changed to a Mac. How do I receive credit for my previous purchase? My understanding from the multitude of similar queries that this is just not possible.

Hi James,

I don't see any registered products under your account with the email address you've used to post here. Please register your copy of Photoshop so we can look into your options.

I have CS3 Creative suite (Mac) and I am looking to migrate from Mac to Windows. If anyone has creative suite licence registered with Adobe I will trade you as Adobe do not provide transfers for platforms. We can do the transfer through ebay. Antone interested?

Hi James,
Do you have the software registered in your name? Is the software CS3 full creative suite? I believe that student teacher software is specific to countries, I live in the UK where are you based, would Adobe allow this software to be transferred? I think each country has differing education dispensation on products so transfer may not be possible. Please can you check?

The program is in my daughter's name. I have the disks et. al. but I think it much too much a hassle to make this happen. I use the program for fun now and my playing with photos has kinda moved into something else- drafting/design. If you can figure out if this is possible let me know.

Hi James, this exchange could be quite simple. We could exchange through ebay to give yourself some comfort.

Please can you confirm:
1. The country you purchased the software
2. Does your CS3 suite include Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Indesign, Bridge.

If you let know this I will organize the rest if it is not restricted by Adobe.
