Lightroom: Can I edit images on a Laptop when the catalogue sits on my home PC?

If all my catalogues are on my desk based home PC, would it be possible to use a WiFi enabled laptop which ran the same version of Lightroom to edit images without moving the source catalogue or images from the PC?

(For example, right now I want to carry on editing my images, but want to watch a TV show in another room, and being able to carry on working via a laptop would be really helpful!)

I'm aware of the option to export a catalogue, work elsewhere and then re-import it, but I was looking for something a bit more "seamless" if you know what I mean.

Thanks in advance

You can't access the catalog over the net, but Windows Pro has a utility called Remote Desktop Server that can be accessed by Remote Desktop in any version of Windows and that will allow you to use the desktop from the laptop over the net as though you were sitting at the desktop.
