Can we default save for web output settings to saving file only?

I need to batch process images for the web using Dr Brown's Image Processor Pro without changing filenames. Thing is, the script adds _ underscores to spaces in the original file name and there's no option that I can specify to keep file names as they are.

Are there any other ways to do a save to web in a batch without changing the file names?

If not (not sure how to say this) is there a way to replicate the save to web for file compression using other saving methods so I can batch it?

Yes, you can change that in SaveForWeb's settings (Edit Output Settings...)
Remember that spaces are not valid in filenames for web usage, and not really appreciated on unix servers.

Yeah but if i were to use the image processor pro script with save for web checked, it adds the underscore to spaces which is not what I wanted and doesn't remember the Edit Output Settings I set previously.

Yeah, I don't think the simple image processor script allows that preference.

But if you are generating files for the web, you have to get rid of the spaces in names - and replacing them with underscores is the default way to do that.

Thanks. Problem is my files need to match a filename database so changing filenames is a no.

Would it be possible to replicate a 'save for web' using a save as method to get the best compression results? if so how do i go about doing it?
