Can LIGHTROOM on Windows recognize a USB drive mapped as A or B?

Using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom - V5.6.

My user has multiple USB devices. So many that he sometimes runs out of drive letters.

We have used Windows 7 disk manager to assign letters at the end of the alphabet... but also used letters A and B. "A" and "B" display in windows explorer and are seen by other programs...

But in Lightroom, When we go to select a file and go to devices, Lightroom only shows drives C and above. The only way we can access the files on these devices is to go to windows explorer and copy them to a device with C or above as a drive letter.

Anyone know of a workaround for this.

Adobe hasn't bothered to fix this annoyance. But there's an easy workaround -- see the last post in this thread:
