Lightroom Classic: Can no longer drag and drop location on Map

If a GPS location is incorrectly recorded, it has always been easy to simply drag a collection of photographs onto the map in the correct position.  This no longer works.  If I drag the photographs they settle on the map but then revert to their existing (incorrect) position.  There seems no other way to correct the GPS detail.  The location icon on the map cannot be dragged either.

This bug has been present for quite a few iterations; I had hoped it would be fixed in on-going updates but this has not been the case.

Martin, thanks for writing in to report the issue. It's unfortunate, but I am not seeing the same problem with the same workflow.

Could you help with more info? Did it stop working right after you updated to 7.5? Does the other Location info change or populate when you drop the photos onto the map view? Can you try doing a right-click on the map, and choosing the menu item to "Add GPS Coordinates to selected photos"? Also, does it work for some photos and not the others?

Thanks for filling in with more details to help us investigate the issue.

Many thanks for your reply.  The first thing I tried after your message was the right click and "add GPS..."  This seems to have done the trick.  I have now been able to drag and drop some photographs to new positions on the map.  I will now see if it "sticks" but it looks as if though that may have been the problem.

Many thanks for your help.
