Can anything technical actually be achieved with Photoshop Express?

I've been using Photoshop Touch for as long as it's been around. It was cumbersome, but it definitely let me do the bulk of quick edits I wanted to do. With it gone, and Adobe splitting a quarter of its original functionality across three independent apps, I'm left wondering if anything technical can be achieved with Photoshop Express.

I understand Adobe wants to appeal to the masses who like to say that they 'shopped an image', or to 'put it through Photoshop', but the new app is a poorer version of Apple's own built-in photo tools, with preselected junky filters. If I wanted frames and no customisabilty, I'd use one of the millions of poor photo editors, and Instagram's own framing app.

What do the rest of us use now on mobile, seeing as there's not a decent, powerful editor left on the App Store? Or am I missing what all the good reviews are about?

Photoshop Express is our simplest app which is designed to do simple edits quickly and easily.

For making edits more akin to the Photoshop desktop app (compositing and retouching), Photoshop Mix and Fix are the apps that let you make deeper edits and provide interoperability with the desktop version of Photoshop.
