Camera Raw: Error with Canon 7D firmware.

In CS6 Raw there is a problem with the new firmware released a few days ago by Canon for the 7D. Most photo mags are talking about it but apparently now there is a problem downloading files using Photoshop. Their solution is to not use Photoshop. JPEG works ok but the RAW does not. If you shoot two stop brackets the images look the same after download. One image is ok, two or three are not. Also Photoshop is downloading a file that the camera uses and should not be downloaded. If you upgrade to the new firmware you cannot go back! I know, my 7D with Photoshop will not process HDR spreads!

Hi Charles,
Could you please tell me where exactly you've heard about this issue?

When you say downloading files using Photoshop, do you mean via Camera Raw? Does this occur in all shooting modes (AV, TV, M)?

thanks!

To review:
Canon 7D. New firmware. File transfer using Bridge. Windows 7 64bit. CS6.
Setup: Shooting in Av or Tv ( I haven't tried full auto). Bracketing one, two, three f stops etc. Transfer into Bridge files from CF card. Upon transfer Bridge modifies the visual information making the photos appear to not have the f stop spread. Metadata is correct. When the three photos are transfered into Raw or CS6 via tools corrected photos appear. It is only in Bridge that they appear wrong.
In addition to the above, an additional file (M2100.CTG) is copied into Bridge when any photos are downloaded. After speaking to Canon this file is used internally by the camera and should not appear is Bridge!
I hope Adobe can solve this problem because it may occur in any of the new Canon firmware releases.

Hi Charles,

Sorry about the lack of response. I asked the Camera Raw testers to look at this but they probably didn't look at Bridge. I didn't see your emails, and I just tried to get them from the spam catcher, but it looks like they're gone.
If you want to re-send, that would be great. I'll send this to a different engineering team.

I also can not import photos into Lightroom4 or 3 from my Canon 7D (firmware v2). When will this issue be corrected?
