Camera RAW: ACR incompatable with Paths?

Am I doing something wrong?

I point bridge to a folder full of flat TIFFs with paths, open them in ACR, make adjustments, then either Open Images or Save Images. In either case, my images open without Paths.

This is most inconvenient. Is there a reason for this? Is there a reasonable workaround?

ACR doesn't have the Photoshop rendering engine in it, so doesn't know about all sorts of things, and the behavior is to be expected.

The rule-of-thumb is that if the file isn't something a camera produced then consider yourself lucky if you can open it with ACR and consider yourself very lucky if ACR can output it in a form that isn't something a camera can produce.
