Lightroom: Camera profiles: Why is only Adobe Standard available?

I am a newcomer to Lightroom and have a question I can't seem to find a n answer to. Under the Develop module there is an option to select a camera profile, however I only have Adobe Standard available and no choices under the pop-up menu. I am using RAW files from an Olympus E620.
Why do I not have any choices? Should I have?

Thanks in anticipation for any help.

This is expected. "Adobe Standard" is the default name of the profile available for the E620. The profile popup only shows you the profiles available for your camera model. For the E620, there is just 1: Adobe Standard.

You can of course create your own Camera Profiles using the DNG Profile Editor.

I had a Pentax K-7 and tested LR 3.6 time ago. LR3.x has a "Camera Standard" Profile for this Camera (also K10D and others), which I liked a lot. Way better than the Adobe Profile. I noticed that LR4 still have this profiles.

Now I have a Pentax K-5... I bought LR 4 and... suprise!! there is no Camera Standard Profile for K-5, only the Adobe Profile.

Is Adobe going to create a Camera Profile for the K-5, as they made for many other Pentax models?

Hallo, i very impresst of lr 4, but I've got a wish. I use a nikon coolpix p7000 and i take the picture with picture controle in natural mode. when I open the file in lr 4, it seems to me, as it would open in standard mode: as the colour and contrast shows. Is there a poibility to youse the different modes: natural, standard and vivid. with kindly regards. Renö Hausheer-Kaufmann, switzerland.

I'm a user of Lightroom 4.2 and CS5.

When do you plan to include more recent camera profiles for Pentax DSLRs? The K5 model has been out for about 2 years and the updated K5 II and K5 iis will be released this month.

While it doesn't look good for Adobe not offering the same support for these cameras as they do for others, users can help (that's called outsourcing to non payed communities - very cost efficient for controllers and investors, less fun for paying customers).

Here are 4 profiles for the K-5 I created:

I personally find the results much more correct than with the "Adobe Standard" profile.

And here are 4 profiles for the K-30 I created:
