I have Photoshop CS5, a new Canon Powershot G5X camera and running Windows Vista 64 bit on my PC.  For various reasons I do not want to update my Windows software, the Canon software won't run on Windows Vista and I shoot in RAW.  I understand I need minimum Camera RAW version 9.3.1. to open the Canon RAW files in Photoshop CS5.  What can I do/download or whatever to get my Canon RAW files to open in my version of Photoshop please.  Thanks for any help anyone can give.

You can convert the CR2 images to DNG using the free DNG Converter at the link below. The DNG raw files will open in your current version of Adobe Camera Raw.

Thank you for the quick reply.  I note that this converter runs with Windows 7.  Unfortunately I am running Windows Vista 64 bit.  Will it still work, or do I need a lower version of the DNG converter?

Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure it will run on Vista since we no longer officially support that platform, but it's worth a try. If that does not work for you, please let me know.
