camera raw: mirroring and xmp-settings with files tif

Good morning, I have been using camera raw for several years and I find it a good product to profile and cut scans of historical images that must remain unchanged after the scan. So we generate a cut copy leaving the original intact.
Camera raw offers the function to rotate the image with its cropping border but not to mirror it horizontally or vertically with the same frame. Is there a reason?
Mirroring the image can only be done with PS, but it doesn't mirror the cropping frame of CR and alter the result.
Is there a reason?
Camera raw also offers to export the settings to an xmp file even with tif files but in reality this does not happen. Is there a reason?
You will understand that with thousands of 300/400MB images it is faster to transfer CR settings over xmp files that weigh less than moving all the images via the corporate network.
I hope that mirroring the images and exporting the settings to an xmp file can soon be implemented in CR
Thanks
Best regards
