Camera Raw: Lag on iMac 5K

Started Photoshop trial on my new iMac 5k (4.0 i7, 295 GPU, 24 RAM). RAW files color adjustments in Camera Raw are laggy, stuttering. It's much much much worse than in MBRPO 2012 Retina. CPU is used heavily. The only solution I found is to start all Adobe applications in low res mode. That is ridiculous, please fix it. Makes no sence in keeping iMac 5k neither compels to buy CC membership. When can we expect an update, please.

The adjustments in CR, either in the Photoshop plug-in or Lightroom, are CPU-intensive and cannot really be accelerated by the GPU, so a 5K monitor has more than 4-times as many pixels than the standard 2K HD monitor and your CPU didn't suddenly become 4 times faster nor I/O to the internal drive 4 times faster.

It will be interesting to see what Adobe does in the long term for ultra-high-res displays, but I wouldn't think there'll be an update that can run PS in 5K mode with reasonable speed anytime soon, and the only solution, for now, is use the UI 200% Experimental Feature in PS's Preferences. The latest updates to ACR (8.7.1) will supposedly automatically switch to 200% scaled mode if PS, itself, is.

Thanks for replying. As I understand "the UI 200% Experimental Feature in PS's Preferences" is only for Windows ? on iMac it is inactive. Am I mistaken ?

I installed Apple's Aperture and all the adjustments slider (same as in Camera Raw) work without lag. So it's up to Adobe to fix it.
