Lightroom Classic/Camera Raw: Use a common UI (User Interface)

I have noticed that while camera raw in Photoshop & Lightroom Classic offer the same functionality, the UI is not the same.  The way Lightroom works is much more user friendly and the UI is much nicer & easier to use (at least to me, it makes more sense in LR).

In Photoshop, camera raw looks different, i.e the radial filter control is located at the top of the dialog box instead of at the top of the selection tools in LR.  See screenshots below.

I would  like to see the camera raw dialogue box & UI in Photoshop mimic the same look as what's currently in LR Classic.

Thank you.

P.S.  I was a major proponent of requesting LR Export functionality for multiple export presets and I really appreciate that functionality that came out in the last big LR release!

TBH I find the ACR version much more intuitive and far easier to work with

There's a lot to be said for consistency, but who dictates which program becomes the working model without upsetting the other users? Whatever you're used to is nearly always the way that "makes the most sense." I would expect Adobe understands that well, making consistency much harder for them, and take much longer for them to get close to, than merely changing one program to look like another.

I agree that the two interfaces should be closer. I asked an Adobe employee at Photoshop World about this very question and he basically dissed the idea. Said it wasn't possible from a coding point of view. I don't believe that. Maybe he didn't understand what I was asking. I have enough experience in software development (not much but enough) to know that the code is basically the same. The buttons and the arrangement of the interface is not the same thing. It should be easier to do. Brian and Cristen's points are valid. However, ACR comes up as a separate program really, why couldn't you have a choice "Classic ACR" or "Lr Classic Develop" and don't forget "Lightroom Cloud's Version".

Now I know that this would bring Adobe's committee in charge of names into the issue! That would be scary! ;-)

If Adobe names it, we'll be  so impossibly confused, we couldn't use the feature.  LOL
