Camera Raw freezes (and then disable GPU acceleration) on pressing Done or Cancel, after updating AMD Radeon HD display driver to the latest version (Catalyst 15.7 & Graphics Driver Installer for Windows 8.1 64-Bit). Please help!

Until AMD provides an updated driver, here is a workaround document for this driver issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...

If you're unable to uncheck "Use Graphics Processor," use this technique to manually disable the graphics processor: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...

If you don't have an AMD card, try the troubleshooting on the following page, including first updating your drivers and unchecking "Use Graphics Processor": https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...

There is a new beta AMD driver released: 15.8 Beta. See
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download...

Can you please try it and report if it fixes the problem with hanging or crashes issues when the GPU acceleration is turned on?

(Remember to enable the GPU acceleration in the Lightroom user prefs, first.)

Listed in the AMD Beta driver release notes:

Resolved Issues:
[424009] AdobeĀ® Lightroom may crash if GPU rendering is enabled
