Camera Raw 11.2 Mac OS Mojave - Bug cannot load .dng nor .arw from NAS

Hello world,


after hours of trying to figure out why Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 version 20.0.3 doesn't open my images from Lightroom or directly from my finder anymore. (Error: The request Could not complete your request because the file was not found.)

I came to the conclusion that it is related to the newest Adobe Camera Raw Update (Version: 11.2). After downgrading it to version 11.1 everything started to work again. DNGs, ARWs could be opened again from my NAS drive. (It doesn't matter whether AFP or SMB) both failed with ACR 11.2.


If anyone from Adobe is reading this, I would appreciate a quick fix and an update.

Yes I am also experiencing bugs with the same version software.  I'm on a brand new iMac Pro with the most updated everything.  Camera Raw adjustment menus go blank as soon as I drag a slider.  Adobe please fix ASAP!

You are right and I would add that the problem exists with High Sierra and Sierra too. So the problem is most likely Camera Raw 11.2. It is not only the file opening problem that exists, there is also that we can no longer write metadata in files that are on a NAS or other remote servers too (Intranet).
Do something Adobe!

Could it be a permissions issue perhaps?

Has anyone checked their NAS' folder's permissions or tried repairing them/applying the settings to subfolders?

Even if the permissions for the drive/folder seem correct, try reapplying the settings  to subfolders.

Apply permissions to all items in a folder or a disk
  1. Select a folder or a disk, then choose File > Get Info.

  2. Click the lock icon  to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password.

  3. Click the Action pop-up menu , then choose “Apply to enclosed items.”
