Camera Matching profiles keep disappearing

I have the Lightroom Classic CC 8.1 and Camera Raw 11.1 installed (the latest versions as of the time of writing). On a fresh install, Develop > Basic > Profile Browser shows me Camera Matching profiles for my Fuji camera(s). However, it keeps on disappearing. I have found no solution other than to uninstall Lr, and then re-install which (even with a backed-up catalog) is a massive inconvenience.

This has happened 2-3 time in the last 3 weeks. My most recent uninstall/reinstall was about 5 days ago. I opened Lr today and.... oh look, it's missing again.

This is becoming intolerable.

Here is a screenshot when it works:

And here is one when it does not :(

Hi Nick, are they missing when working with a raw file, or just with a JPEG, TIFF or PSD?

I was fully expecting to discover that I was going to see the same problem with both RAW and JPEG because *of course* I was trying to edit a RAW file... But then I discovered I had selected the wrong photo in the stack and was trying to edit JPEGs all this time.

I do indeed see Camera Matching for RAW files!

I can't believe I've been trying to edit JPEGs. I am starting to doubt my sanity. I am embarrassed but happy that I now understand what was happening :D

Thanks so much.

I'm glad you're set, Nik. That was my only idea, so I'm relieved that I won't be put on the spot. ;-)
