Lightroom: Camera matching profiles do not match between Mobile and Classic

I've synced a bunch of images from a current shoot from my Classic installation to Lightroom Mobile. All of the images have the Camera Neutral profile assigned because that's the default that I have set. When I view the images on my iPad, it shows the profile as Adobe Standard, but the image is clearly with the Camera Neutral profile applied. (for those wondering, all of the profiles are indeed selectable in LR Mobile, but what is set in Classic is not reflected in Mobile)

As soon as i make an adjustment, the image is then shown with the Adobe Standard profile applied.

How can i simply have what is assigned in Lightroom Classic to be reflected in Lightroom Mobile?

Can you get me the version number of Lightroom Classic CC (Help>System Info...) and the installed version number from your iPad?

Hi Rikk, sure:

LR Classic
Lightroom Classic version: 8.0 [ 1193777 ] I just did a test with this build and new files sync the correct camera profile with some images, but not the images i originally had the issues with.

I may remove all of the (4500) images im culling right now and resync them to see if the issue persists.

LR Mobile
v. 4.0.0 E605D9

@Nick,

Apart from providing the version information as Rikk requested, can you try to re-apply "Camera Neutral profile" on those images from the Lightroom Mobile app?

I can successfully reapply any camera profiles and they work as expected, but i have 4000+ images to cull and process, so as you can imagine, thats not really an option. (i know i can copy and paste, but there may be a bigger issue here) I'm removing the affected images and resyncing to see if it solves the issue.

I think tpnotes describes the exact issue. it's an issue that if defaults are set in LR Classic, they dont get correctly synced to LR Mobile. If things are manually set they do sync correctly.

It sounds like the same issue I reported a couple of month ago here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/default-development-setting-does-not-sync-fro...

YES, that's exactly what it is. I just did a test by ASSIGNING a profile after import and it correctly set the profile in LR Mobile, but anything that's set as a default in Classic does not get synced to LR Mobile.

Can this be filed as a bug?

@tpnotes, are you still facing the issue you reported? If so please share the Lr Classic and Lr Mobile version details.

Yes, that bug unfortunately has not vanished by itself: Classic shows the correct profile set via default setting on import, iPhone and iPad show Adobe Standard for those images.

I use the latest official versions for LR Classic on Mac and CC/mobile on iPhone and iPad (all OS are up to date as well).
