Hey, I just wanted to learn, which text editor are you using while programming Adobe products? I know that it is highly confidential but I used Photoshop for several months and desperately wondered it. I am using Visual Studio but I think that it is not for a big program. If it is still confidential, please answer the question below, you will only say Yes or No okay? Are you using Vim?

Each developer has their own favorites. Some prefer Visual Studio, some XCode, and a few use Gnu-Emacs.

Large programs need editors that can handle multiple documents open and visible at a time (headers, all related source files, data files, etc.) - and that's what IDEs are designed for. Having a good overall search and selection utility helps as well, plus quick symbol lookup. Syntax highlighting/coloring can help, and integration with error/warning reporting.

I don't know any serious developers using vim or similar editors -- they're simply too primitive.
