Photoshop CS6: Problems with text tool and Canvass Size

I'm experiencing numerous bugs with Photoshop CS6 on Creative Cloud. I'm on a mac air, using OS X Version 10.8.4. I'm experiencing chronic issues with the text tool. I'll put my curser in a text area to edit the text and the text will suddenly change to some other text on the page, or that happens to be on my cliboard. It's a massive headache. Also, when I try to extend the length of a page by adding pixels to the bottom of the canvass (through Image > Canvass Size), it will add more space to the canvass but some of text areas all the sudden change to different text and some (but not all) layers move for no apparent reason. So basically if I need to create a longer doc, I have to create a new file and copy all of my layer folders over, which means I lose my guide settings. This is super annoying. For $50 a month I should be getting a better product.

It sounds like you didn't install the CS6 updates, and are hitting a bug from 13.0.0 that caused text layers to get scrambled when the document was saved (that was fixed in an early dot release). Unfortunately the file is scrambled, and opening it in later versions will still show the scrambled result.
