Photoshop CS6: having several problems

Photoshop CS6 is full of bugs. This is totally unacceptable in an update costing £200.00 in the UK.

Many keyboard shortcuts do not work.
Text-tool is almost useless - stuck in bold-face, "Other" type sizes does not work.
Personal workspaces cannot be saved.
If the Photoshop window is closed, optional palettes remain on the desktop and have to be closed manually.

These are the bugs I have found so far, after just three days working with CS6. I can think of no other software I have ever purchased which has had anything like these errors in mainstream, everyday features.

I use a Quad-core Intel Xeon Mac Pro with 12gb of memory. OSX 10.6.8 .

Have you installed the updates to Photoshop?

Some users have had shortcut problems when third party plugins or other applications interfere with event handling.

It sounds like you might have some corrupt fonts causing problems for the text tools.

And your statement about closing windows doesn't make sense.
