Several bugs in the 2019 photoshop editor. Open a photo in the editor, goto "brightness and contrast" in the guided editor. Make a change. Press the "x" to leave the editor. The editor then exits without asking if you want to save. does work. A real problem I regularly get is: "could not build a preview becasue of a program error" For instance, make a change using "restore old photo" then goto "Lighten and darken" and make a change. Press the "x" to leave the editor. You then ge the questions to save the new image. and it the fails with this error. (saving high quality JPG)

Why do you bother about the 'x' which is only a kind of emergency exit if you want to quit all your editing? Just click on the 'NEXT' button on the bottom right of the guided display, then you can opt to save or to open in Expert mode. I don't use nor need the guided edits very often, but I never get a similar error message? Are you on Mac or Windows?

I am running on Windows 10. Up to date on a HP Envy laptop. You get the error message when exiting almost all the "basic" selection of edit functions. PS I use the X to quickly finish editing. The less clicks the beter. I want to save not quit. It works properly in older versions and still seems to work when exiting from most of the "special edits".
