Problems with Photoshop CS5 after installing 'MicrosoftCodecPack_amd64.msi'

After installing 'MicrosoftCodecPack_amd64.msi' in Photoshop CS5, the circle of 'Brush' sizes no longer showed. It was as if the brush size was set to 1 px.

Uninstalled MicrosoftCodecPack_amd64.msi and things were back to normal.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, Ver. 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1). Photoshop CS5 Ver. 12.0.4 x64.

Sounds like your video driver was changed, and introduced some bugs.

Go to AMD's site and get the 13.3 beta 2 or later drivers.

I've got NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 and I've my processor is 2.67 gigahertz Intel Pentium III.

I've never heard of using somebodies else drivers.

Are drivers are hardware specific, so cannot see how they would work.

Yes, they are hardware specific. Sorry I confused the code pack name with the video card.
Yes, you'll need to go to NVidia's site to get updates.
