Photoshop: Images open half off screen CS5 (Win)

In PS CS5 when I open an image with height dimension in range of 1405-1411 or 1873-1882, the image opens half off the bottom of the screen. Width does not seem to matter.

That the bug, but here is why it is more than an inconvenience to be corrected with fit screen button. When this happens a Place command within an action positions the placed object incorrectly. And actions don't record fit screen. .

You can do Fit Screen commands in actions using the "Insert Menu Item..." command in the Actions panel menu. I'll have someone look at the underlying issue.

One thought is your video driver may be out of date. Determine what video card you have and go directly to the manufacturers website (nVidia or ATI/AMD) and download the latest driver. GPU and OpenGL support | Photoshop CS4, CS5: http://adobe.ly/OpenGL

Video Driver is current and card, Nvidia Quadro FX 1800, is listed as supported. Open GL already enabled and advanced level selection under GPU preferences makes no difference to this issue.

However using insert menu command to add fit to screen to the action solved the problem. I had somehow overlooked this in the documentation.

Thanks.

Curious if you've tried the CS6 beta and whether this off center image issue persists? http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/ph...
