Lightroom: Cursor no longer works on left side of Develop module

On occasion when editing for a long time, the curser will no longer work on the left side of the develop module. When you move over an image, you normally would see the magnifying glass icon; however, as you move to the left side, the magnifying icon will change to a pointer icon. The presets on the left side will also be non responsive. The only fix that I can find is to quit and restart.

No. Using the bluetooth magic mouse. Two different iMacs with OSX 10.9.2.

When did it stop working - what changed on the computer? Can you try with a directly connected mouse?

Can't say for sure when. Don't own a wired mouse any more.

So it happened to me today when I called up the crop tool. Don't know if that is what caused it, but that is when it started. I had been working in LR all day today. Quitting the program and reopening it solved the issue.

I was also working off of an external drive via FW800. Not sure if that might be a cause.

Just happened again. Went to use a brush in the Develop module and the left side of the screen stopped working. Working off of an external drive (usb 2.0) Lightroom 5.3 on this particular computer (have had the same issue with another computer using 5.4). Mac OSX 10.9.2, 2.66 Core 2 Duo, 8 gigs of RAM.

I'm having the same problem, however mine has only started happening this week when using Lightroom 6/CC.
