LIGHTROOM - won't retain metadata or attribute filter settings while exporting photos

While exporting a bunch of photos, it will briefly allow me to change the metadata and attribute filters to create a new selection, but the filters won't stay, they resort back to all off.

For example, I filter a set of images down to 4+ stars and keyword = "Final", export photos at 95 quality JPG, then I want to set the filter to =3 stars and keyword = "RAW" for a second export, it will not keep the =3 stars or keyword = "RAW" filters in place. It just jumps back to having no filters on.

This happens only when you import the exported photos back into the catalog. I assume that this was done on purpose, to avoid confusion. The imported images may not fit the criteria of the current filter, so it may look like nothing is imported. Did you click the little lock on the right of the filter bar?
