Lightroom: Starring one photo in survey mode stars all photos

Hi all,

I couldn't find this posted already, but you champions of these forums seem to have a superior way of searching, so please fold this into another post if it's redundant.

Suddenly, when I have more than one image selected in Survey mode, make a selection (one image outlined in white), and star it, all the images shown receive the same star rating. I've used Survey a fair bit in the past, and don't remember this behavior. It also seems counterproductive. Am I misremembering?

LR just started doing this, 2015.7, macOS Sierra.

Thanks!

Thanks Adam, for brining this up.

If you dont want the rating to sync up with other photos in survey view, as John suggested switch off *Auto-Sync* button. This will fix your problem.

Apart from that I notice some bug (I think) that even if the *Auto-Sync* is ON
  1. If I apply the star rating using mouse click, it is not synced to other images.
  2. If I apply the star rating using number key, then it is synced to other images.
Let me discuss with my team about the correct behavior and fix the problem.
