Photoshop CC 2018: Lock up when using CMYK and curve adjustment

I have found a bug in the new 2018 version of Photoshop. If I copy a color channel in CMYK and go to make a curve adjustment (command M), if I am on an adjustment layer in the layers panel. It locks up Photoshop and I have to force quit.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the report and sorry for the freeze you're seeing.
Could you provide more steps to reproduce this? I wasn't able to get the freeze to happen on my machine.

How are you copying the Channel and applying an adjustment layer?
Please provide more details of your workflow when you can.

Regards
Pete

Hi Pete,
It seems to have been just one specific file for whatever reason. That file will continually freeze up for some reason unless I am on just a normal layer. I've tried reproducing it with some other files but it seems to be an isolated file problem. It just happened to be the first image I was working on after updating to the new Photoshop version.
Thanks for your response.
