BUG in Chromatic Aberration Correction (LR 6.5.x)?

It seems that there may be a bug in CA correction of light room 6.5.1 (and actually I noticed this allready with previous dot-release). This happens at least with CR files from Canon 5D2, 760D and 80D.

Issue seems independent if GPU acceleration is used or not. System is Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

Image 1 shows capture from light room before applying CA correction with dropper tool. Correction was picked from between drivers right sleeve and black pole below the shoulder
(at the left side of the image, driver was facing me when picture was

Image 2 shows the artefacts that appreared after dropper selection, and CA values that LR applied after the pick.

Picture was taken with 18-55 STM kit-lens that is not of highest quality but rather ok, and same happens e.g. with EF100-400 II and EF 35 IS that may be considered as "better glass". Phenomenon seems to be independent of ISO level. So, something wrong with CR2 handling or CA correction algorithm in general? I do not recall this happening with 4.x version of LR, but can not say anything about 5.x that I skipped.

Other raw converter I use does not behave the same with the same CR2.

Anyone else seeing this kind of behaviour? With any other files than CR2?
