Photoshop CC 2019: Content Aware Fill when using Background layer

Open an image that has only the background layer.
Use Image > Canvas Size to extend the canvas on the right.
Select the area added to the canvas.
Choose Edit > Content-Aware Fill... from the menu.
Use the brush to add to the source area.

Each time you use the brush you will get an error dialog stating that you cannot use the brush due to a program error. This only happens on the background layer.

Hey Johan, I can't repro either. Anything specific you can think of that we're missing? Could you make a short video cap of what you're doing/seeing so Yuko can investigate?

I cannot reproduce the problem. Do you mind sending the image to ykagita at adobe dot com? If you could send me the screen recording (QuickTime Player can record your screen by selecting File > New Screen Recording) that would be helpful.
