BUG: Enhance Details on MacOS ignores external GPU

This is an existing issue that still persists in the latest 2.2.1 update on Mojave (10.14.4).
On a Mac with external GPU, and the monitor plugged directly into the eGPU enclosure, all GPU-accelerated Lightroom CC activities are indeed performed on the eGPU as expected with the exception of "enhance details." This is verified by monitoring the GPU activity window in Activity Monitor; when enhancing details on a Fuji X100F RAF file, the process takes ~40 seconds on my 2018 Mac mini, pegging the Intel UHD 630 GPU while my external Radeon RX 580 is idle.

The blog post from February specifically mentions that an eGPU is recommended to speed up Enhance Details; but on MacOS, an eGPU is simply ignored for this function. Normal editing activities do use the eGPU (confirmed via Activity Monitor), so it is recognized correctly by Lightroom.

My system:
Mac mini 2018 - 6-core i7, 16GB memory, Mojave 10.14.4
Sonnet eGFX Breakaway box with Sapphire Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
Dell 27" monitor connected directly to Breakaway box enclosure
Lightroom CC 2.2.1

Thanks for the report Jason.  This is a known issue and we are coordinating a fix with Apple.
