Brush lag in Photoshop CC on Wacom Cintiq Companion

I'm having an issue where after a short period of time, my brushes start to lag in Photoshop CC. The issue started about a week after loading Photoshop CC onto a Wacom Cintiq Companion running Windows 8.1. I have read that changing from Advanced to Basic in the graphics card preferences can help. It hasn't for me. So far the only thing that has worked is uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Obviously, that gets really old. Any ideas you have are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same issue and it only was introduced after I upgraded from Windows 8.0 to 8.1
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, upgrading the graphics driver, disabling font preview, but none of them worked.
Can anyone help me, please?

Since I posted that previous issue, I've been running Photoshop CC in 32 bit mode. So far so good.
