Hi Michael,

I've tried to reproduce this but could not, even running the 13.0 GM.  Which SPECIFIC version of Photoshop CS6 are you running?  Have you installed all the updates?  What other apps do you have running?  Other hardware?  It REALLY sounds like something else is interfering with your keyboard input.

Thanks,
David

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Keyboard shortcuts dont work with CS6 and Yosemite.

Do you know why keyboard shortcuts no longer work..... like the bracket keys to increase and decrease brush size, Command + to zoom in, command Z to undo, option click with a brush to select color, command S to save etc etc these do not work with my Mac 10.10.3 and Photoshop CS6. Sometime they work once, then stop. IE I can select brush and increase brush size one time , then I try again and noting happens. I have to use the History to undo. and go to the brush control panel to change the brush size . I cant zoom in and out any longer. To save I have to go to file menu. This has slowed down my work flow a lot. mcc@michaelcampbell.com

Hi Michael,

My guess is that there's something that's been added to your system which is causing this problem.  I have tried repeatedly to reproduce this problem, but cannot.  I would be happy to do a web-hosted screenshare with you in order to trouble-shoot what's going on.  Just respond to the email I sent you and I'll set it up, ok?

Thanks,
David

hi. I had the same issue on my mac with both illustrator and photoshop. By switching keyboard type while in PS or IL from British to Us intenational I came to have one of the two working. While in British keyoboard set ai got the zoom in/out working but not the bracket key to increase or decrease the the brush zize. Viceversa while using international keyboard I had the latter works and not the former ones

Hi Max,

What equivalent key are you seeing for [ and ] with the British English layout?  I ask because I've tried ABC, ABC Extended, British, US, and US Extended.  In all cases, the [ and ] keys function correctly in both Liquify as well as with just the Brush tool to change the brush size.  With keyboard viewer active, they all appear to be the same key.  So, clearly, something more is going on here.

Thanks,
David

I too have had the [ ] brush size key shortcuts randomly stop in CS 5, 5.5 and CC2017. Manually adjusting the brush size seems to make the [ ] work again for a bit
