Photoshop: Brush size and brush delete doesnt work properly

When resizing a brush above 500px-1000px it suddenly starts jumping much larger numbers. So its very hard to have f.example a brush on 1500px without typing the numbers manually instead of using the slider. This is very annoying when painting in large resolutions and trying to be effective.

The delete brush (alt) button sometimes get stuck, so that you have to hit space to turn off the delete brush. This is very annoying when working fast and suddenly you notice you deleted a couple of brushes in your palette. Why would you place the delete brush shortcut so close to the pick color and other keyboard shortcuts which is nearby? The delete brush shouldnt be easily accessible in the brush palette without opening the manager IMO. You should rather have move brushes around on that button, which would be more useful.

I dont know if this will ever be taken to account, as it seems most user suggestions which Ive seen here that are backed up by many is being ignored or never fixed. But this is some of the many UI problems Photoshop has which should be solved.

Have you tried using the click + drag method? (which shows you a preview of your brush size) Instructions here: http://blogs.adobe.com/jkost/2012/07/...

I haven't heard of the Alt key getting stuck. What version of Photoshop are you using? What OS/version are you on? Wacom tablet? If so, is the tablet driver up to date?

Hi thanks for answering.
I knew about the click+drag method, but I havent gotten used to using it. but I think I probably should. Its just that opening brush panel and drag the sliders is what I been using for years, so its sort of stuck in my fingers. But, good tip, Ill start working it into my brain :)

For the other bug. I use a wacom yes, and its probably something to do with use of a tablet. But, its not because of old drivers. Ive been working in Photoshop professionally for over 20 years and its been there since as long as I can remember, both on PC and mac ( I use a cintiq and a intuos and I got the latest drivers). When painting I usually open the brush palette all the time, like multiple times in a minute. And since pick color is the same shortcut when painting as the delete brush is when you open the brush palette, its very easy to delete a brush even if the alt button doesnt get stuck in the delete brush state (if I only could lock my brush palette or just change the delete brush shortcut it would be fine). But nonetheless the button does sometime get stuck in a delete brush state and you have to hit space to unlock it.
