Brush Cursor Disappears

Since I updated to OS Sierra, for some odd reason the brush cursor in Photoshop has stopped showing up. It functions, but I can't see it. At all. No, my caps lock is NOT on. I've tried toggling it on and off just to play with it, but no matter what I do the cursor doesn't show. No matter what preference I select, it doesn't show. It flickers briefly if I zoom in and out, but it doesn't stick around. I'm using an iMac, Apple reason for this that I can see. I haven't changed anything other than the OS update which I'll admit can be a huge deal. I can't figure out what broke and, more importantly, how do I fix it? It's impossible to do good work without being able to see the cursor.

Yes! There has been a lot of trouble lately!!!
I do see my cursor most of the time but, there suddenly are a lot of trouble with other tools. The eraser does not erase, the pencil does not write, the move arrows does not move, the layers jump around or can ́t be changed and so on for a lot tools and functions. All this happened after the latest updates of both the computer (OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6) and the Photoshop software (2015.5).  The wacomtablet has been updated but it does ́t matter wether I use it or not - same problem all the time.  And the strange thing is, the problems comes and goes. Sometimes everything has to rest for a while and then it starts to work again. Sometimes it helps by saving the picture or close it down.  Sometimes I has to restart the computer.   When tings works again one feels happy but not for very long, soon enough some new tool or function start to fuss.

What is there to do about this?????????????

The original OP said her Caps Lock wasn't on, and I've also had occasions when my brush disappears. It has only rarely happened lately, but the cure is usually to move the brush outside of the PS window and the brush comes back. I've almost never had to do anything more than that.
