Bridge not functioing since I installed Lightroom 4

I finally purchased LightRoom 4 after using the Beta version shortly when it was first out. Once installed, I have not been able to use Bridge from PhotoShop CS 5. (12.1 X64) Is there something I need to do to bring it back. Bridge opens up but it does not show thumbnails no matter how long I wait. I can only close it down by using the force quit on my Mac using OS 10.7.4

Any help would be much appreciated as I use Bridge for many things that LightRoom doesn't do.

Thanks,
Charles

What if you purge the Bridge Cache?

From within Bridge -> Tools > Cache > Purge Cache

Hey Pete, I just tried and it didn't work. I was able to go to tools and purge the Cashe but that seemed to lock up bridge. I didn't get the "Bridge not responding" notice when I used the force quit from the Mac finder.

OK, after trying many things without success, here is what I did. I opened the folder Bridge was hanging up on in the Mac Finder and renamed that folder. That solved my problems. I thought it might be LightRoom 4 causing it as the problem started right after I installed LR.

Hope this helps someone and thanks again Pete for your suggestions.

Nice work Charles... What was the name of the folder? And what did you rename it to? Was it the contents of the folder or the funky folder name?

I don't remember the folder name exactly but I normally name them according to the job. When I rename them, I will just add another letter or end it with a number. After getting it to work the first time, it hung up again on another folder after I received a low memory warning. Renaming that folder corrected it again but this time I purchased MacKeeper to clean up my hard drive. There were many problems according to Mac Keeper but after running the scan and cleaning up the main HD, I have a new computer now. Everything is working fine and even like it did when it was brand new as far as speed etc.
