Bridge CS5 continues to have issues with losing the keyword file. Can Adobe please produce a script that produces a keyword file for directories and sub-directories and allows this file to be imported to create a new keyword file. I have tried backing up my keyword file and then copying it over once the other was corrupted, but this does not work. I also tried exporting the keyword file, but it only produces a blank txt document. Please advise. I am running Bridge C.04.05.11.

It appears that the problem was that the keywords that were created by clicking on each photo were temporary. I suggest that upon exiting Bridge, Adobe ask the user if he wishes to make the keyword file permanent.

I concur! This has been one of my frustrations with Bridge for many years. I love to use Bridge, but I hesitate to invest my time and energy to customize it simply because of this issue. Why would anyone waste time customizing their Bridge for, not only the meta data, but also by creating Favorites shortcuts, only to lose them? Yes, Favorites shortcuts also have this issue. As soon as you change the location of a folder withing a folder which is a Favorite (has a shortcut), that shortcut vanishes. It is a major flaw/BUG in Bridge. Is there a fix I am not aware of? Is there a way to backup all of the custom settings a user creates within Bridge? The ability to BACKUP and RESTORE your Bridge settings is the solution to both of these issues/Bugs.
