Bridge CC crashes when looking for folders during "Move to" or "Copy to", etc. it seems as if the problem is tied to file structure and not Photoshop or Bridge per se. The Mac beach ball has become an expectation at nearly every visit to Bridge CC.

What does the crash report say?
And a beach ball is a hang, not a crash (but would still need to see the report to know what is happening).

Lots of hangs, fewer crashes. Opening a file from a card, e.g., hangs for full 20 seconds before connecting, if it doesn't crash. I'll report next crash w details.

What OS version are you using?
A hang connecting to a device or fileserver is most likely waiting for the device or OS code.

Hello, are you browsing data on a memory card, or do you use the Import photos from Camera script?

OSX 10.9.2, Bridge 6.0.1.6, PS 14.2.1 (64).
And waiting's what it feels like. It's like Finder in molasses.

Don't forget you can find older crash reports and hang reports under ~/Library/Logs
Or launch the Console app and you can explore all the system logs and report files.

The problem happens whether I'm browsing a card (which I would assume might take longer) or browsing for a file on my laptop or iMac via WiFi. For example right-clicking on a picture brings up a drop-down menu that includes 'move to', 'copy to', etc., as well as 'open', etc. Using that mechanism to browse causes hangs and crashes. Of course my schedule took me away from PS for a few days after reporting it but I'll keep the discussion alive with updates as they occur.
Thanks again all,

Yes, those could take longer. And they go a different code path in the OS, so could hit bugs different from browsing files on disk.
Again, you can look up the existing reports (see above).

I still have CS6. Could there be an internal conflict?

No, CS6 and CC can work together side by side.

I could only find CS6 reports, 's why I asked. I'm definitely using CC... been away from it for a few and the minute I go back it's flawless. Damn technology... not so 'grande' after all!
Will advise next 'hit'.

Try uninstalling Bridge through the CC app, including all preferences. Reinstall through the CC app. You should be good to go.
