Bridge causes system freeze.

I just installed and updated Photoshop CC, Lightroom and Bridge CC. All seemed ok until...I set the filmstrip option in Bridge and then started clicking the images. As expected they went up into the viewing panel...until about the third or fourth click. The entire system froze. No mouse movement, keyboard was dead. Ultimately had to do a hard reset of the entire system. Has happened several times. This is a brand new custom built system running Win 7.1 (64) with an SSD system drive, GeForce GTX650 TI BOOST video, i5-4570 and 16 GByte of ram on ASUS Z87-PLUS mobo.

It appears that one specific image folder (one of many copied from my 'old' system) was somehow causing the problem. This folder contained jpg, cr2 and xmp file types. No other tested folders seem to cause the crash. I deleted the folder and re-copied it to this system and the problem seems to be resolved. However, it does seem odd that a group of files in a folder could effectively crash my system.

If the entire system freezes, you're looking at an OS bug, a low level driver bug, or hardware problems.

In this case, it sounds a bit like a filesystem error caused the freeze. But it is still possible that an explorer extension or other driver is the cause.
