Bridge: How do I load files into Photoshop as layers?

In bridge, I can create a stack of images. If I want to open the stack in Photoshop, as a stack, how do I do it without going into the Photoshop files scripts load files into stack routine? If I right click the stack in bridge, and select open in Photoshop...Photoshop proceeds to open the files individually, not open a single stack! I have a number of stacks of consecutive images that I am working with. I find it much easier to organize my files in bridge first, then apply the edits i want in CC. Am I missing something? thanks

In Bridge, Select the files and then select Tools > Photoshop > Load Files into Photoshop Layers...

You don't have to create a stack first, but you can stack your images if that's how you like to organize them.

I'm aligning and editing 2000 hi res frames of a timelapse sequence.
I'm aligning/processing 100 frames at a time.
I thought I would prepare 20 x 100 stacks in bridge, and then open as stacks in photoshop where I align and export the layers as files.
Otherwise, I do it the Photoshop way or the way you described (which is very similar), which works, but maybe the workflow could be more efficient?
I guess the only difference is that in my mind I imagined prepping the stacks of 100 in advance and have all my files organized before I start processing.  So would Select the files and then select Tools > Photoshop > Load Files into Photoshop Layers work if I had stacked them in Bridge?
